DELTA FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES
âSTRONGER THAN HATEâ CONCERT STARRING KESHA
PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT JEWISH FEDERATIONâS VICTIMS OF TERROR FUND
OCTOBER 30, 2018âPITTSBURGH, PAâThe Delta Foundation ofPittsburgh, the leading non-profit advocacy organization for the LGBT community, has announced that the "Countdown 2 Vote" concert scheduled for this Saturday, November 3 with international superstar Kesha has been renamed the âStronger Than Hateâ concert. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Jewish Federationâs Our Victims of Terror Fund.
Stronger Than Hate has been adopted by Pittsburgh residents following the tragic events that unfolded this past weekend at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
According to Gary Van Horn, president of the Delta Foundation, âlast Saturday, we saw the worst of America. We look to use the power of music to come together and help people heal."
In a Facebook post, Kesha said, "My heart is filled with sadness following the horrible events this past weekend in Pittsburgh. Iâm so sorry for the pain and suffering that so many are going through. I will still be coming to Pittsburgh this Saturday to play my show and deliver as much peace and positivity as I can. Letâs show the world that there is only love and always hope in Pittsburgh."
The Delta Foundation has also announced that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School survivors Sarah Chadwick and Sofie Whitney will be speaking at the event.
