Ochocinco takes fan who answered tweet on shopping spree
Sunday, November 15, 2009 By Dan Majors, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

"Hotel manager name is Jesse, first person to say my name Ocho Cinco to Jesse at the Marriot we about to act a donkey in the mall."

That simple message -- complete with spelling, grammar and punctuation flexibility -- set off a storm of excitement last night at the Marriott City Center in Pittsburgh after it was posted by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco on Twitter, the blogging service that allows users to communicate in brief messages, or "tweets."

More than 50 people turned up at the hotel. Many more called the front desk to ask to speak to "Jesse," hoping for a chance at a shopping spree paid for by the athlete formerly known as Chad Johnson.

Mr. Ochocinco is known for outrageous antics that have generated lots of publicity -- and a number of NFL fines -- through his career. In the past week alone he was fined $20,000 for brandishing a dollar bill at an official during a replay review against Baltimore. He also earned a rebuke from his coach after he posted on Twitter that he would send mustard to the Steelers' defensive backs because they couldn't "ketch up" with him today at Heinz Field. He also promised to put on a celebration to earn another fine.

Last night, he tweeted the invitation to go shopping at the Monroeville Mall.

"Jesse" is Jesse Staiger, 30, of Glenshaw, one of the hotel's shift managers, who until yesterday had never met Mr. Ochocinco.

Mr. Staiger said he learned of the gimmick through a phone call at the hotel shortly after the item was posted to Mr. Ochocinco's followers via his verified Twitter account at about 4:30 p.m. Within 15 minutes, David Anderson, 22, of North Point Breeze, walked up to the front desk and asked for "Jesse."

"We're still getting calls," Mr. Staiger said about six hours later. "They've had to start telling people I'm gone for the day."

Mr. Anderson couldn't be reached. But from the later postings on Twitter, and a photograph that was added, it appeared everyone in the party had a good time. "I thought it was pretty neat," said Mr. Staiger, who vowed to remain a Steelers fan. "It was all in fun."

  1. You Get Off: He?s confident in bed. He knows what he?s doing ... and if he doesn?t by then, well, then he?s hopeless and you don?t have to waste your time trying to teach him.
  2. He Knows Cool Stuff You Never Heard Of: Generation gaps can be a good thing culture-wise. He can introduce you to music and movies that are totally awesome classics.
  3. He?s Super Supportive: He?s got a career and is secure in his work life, so he?s totally supportive of your ambitions. And probs full of good advice! Not to mention the quarter-life crisis is kinda like the mid-life one.
  4. Someone Has Already ?Fixed Him Up?: That relationship didn?t work out. And now you can reap the benefits of nice shoes and hand towels in the bathroom.
  5. He Doesn?t Stay Out Late: He might be a ladies? man, but after a certain age, he?s not out on the prowl every night in da club lookin? for a fresh piece. He just wants to hang with you.
  6. He Knows Himself: Nobody?s perfect, and by now, he understands his main foibles. So, he can even communicate them to you to prevent friction.

Prior to tabloid reports that her husband  Josh Duhamel had an affair with an Atlanta stripper, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie told the Advocate magazine that she has some strict rules about cheating in her marriage.

That interview now appears in the December-January issue of the Advocate. Fergie told the magazine that her rules for cheating also apply for same-sex relationships.

?I've had a lot of fun with women, and I'm not ashamed of it," she told the magazine. "But just because I enjoy women doesn't mean I'm allowed to have affairs in my relationship."

Fergie said she came to this conclusion with the help of a therapist and that she has shared her history of same sex relationships with her husband Josh. ?"I learned through talking with my therapist that it is still cheating even if it's with girls, so there is a rule there."

The interview has been released amid rumors that Duhamel had an affair with an Atlanta stripper named Nicole Forrester. Fergie has released a statement calling the stripper?s allegations ?nonsense."

Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, is appearing in the soon to be released movie musical ?Nine? as Saraghina, an Italian prostitute who seduces a young filmmaker. She also told the magazine that she could relate to her character flirting with and seducing a younger man.

?There will be teenage boys at my shows, so sometimes I?m seducing them from the stage. It?s not like anything?s going to happen - it?s very playful and flirtatious - but it?s funny because I?m 34 and they?re 14. So I get that about Saraghina.?

bonics shop to stop

Last Sunday Tall Cathy and I strutted our stuff for The Galleria at Mt. Lebanon's Annual Event "Stop to Shop for Domestic Violence." Its an event where they raise awareness and money for victims of domestic violence. Seems kinda silly but TC and I were Models for a few of the store's in the Galleria. We helped promote the stores in the Galleria. Proceeds from purchases went to the cause. There were definitely some local celebs in the place like Sally Wiggin, Andrew Stockey, and B. E. Taylor. Lots of good food, great shopping deals, and wonderful people make this a great event to be apart of...

Can't say that I'm a super huge Shakira fan, but the singles that she has put out I definitely enjoy for the club! When Hips Don't Lie comes on in the club every guy looks for the girl on the dance floor who can really shake them hips. Not to mention to Shakira is definitely hot. Her muppet-esque singing voice is super distiguishable. You also can't deny the fact that she is HUGE around the world!!! Much respect to people who can sell both an English and Spanish version of an album. I was excited to talk to her because of her big influence around the world. The little girl from Columbia turn out to be a world phenomenom. I read somewhere that Hip's Don't Lie is the most played song in radio in one week. Shakira is releasing her newest album in Nov 24. I got a chance to talk to her and to my surprise she was the super responsive. I didn't feel like I was talking to a diva, rather someone who loved what she does.

Make sure you listen to the interview. It's fun and she has alot of great advice and insight. Thank you to SHAKIRA for being so great.... and hot!!!

I totally was a wrestling fan growing up. I would watch wrestling on saturdays, sundays, and of course stay up late to watch the saturday night to watch the "Main Event." I even remember going to the Spectrum with my family to watch wrestling. I was so excited to see KoKo beware, the Hulkster, and Kamala. My grandma even stood on her chair to watch Jake The Snake Roberts unleash his snake on his foe. Sounds gross. Of course it was shocking when i found out that wrestling was "fake" so i fell a little out of touch with it. Then in high school I again found my self watching wrestling again. I saw Dude Love smack the ****** out of Vince Mc Mahon. I definitely respect the sport. People train and dedicate their lives to be apart of something like the WWE. Wether you like wrestling or not, you have to appreciate the culture, the history, and the fact that it is still huge or even bigger then it was before. I feel like wrestling comes to Pittsburgh pretty frequently. On Sun the 25th the WWE makes its way to the Mellon Arena once again for "Bragging Rights."

I got to interview CM Punk a very experienced and seasoned Wrestler who has been the champion on several different wresting circuits including the WWE. Below i have a video of me interviewing him a few days before the event.

I got to interview Mark Saling who plays "Puck" on the new sitcom on FOX Glee. Truthfully i never saw the show but got a chance to check out an episode on HULU and I must say it isn't so bad. Its like a musical sitcom. They use new songs and old songs.

bonics downtown block party

It's been a few weeks already but definitely new it was worth posting still. On october 2nd I got to be apart of the 1st ever Downtown Neighborhood Block Party. It was a pretty rad event. I have lived in PGH for 10 years and never witnessed a downtown Block Party like this.

PGH has had a big year and a block party seems a good way to celebrate this. With the help of local sponsors the Downtown PGH Partnership in association with Nakturnal PR the Neighborhood Block Party was a success. Food, Dancing, Drinks. Downtown Pittsburgh was alive.

CHECK MY VIDEO OUT BELOW!!!

Gotta give it up to the event. It was official. and again I am proud of my city

shout out to Nakturnal PR
