Charlie Sheen has been mentioning a lot in the news lately from a rumored judge on American Idol, to quitting Twitter and leaving behind almost 8 million followers to now, pledging to donate at least $1 million to the USO to support our troops!

UPDATE: Here's Charlie talking about being mentioned as a possible Idol judge AND about his USO donation plan on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno

According to TMZ....he will donate 1% of the profits from his "Anger Management" earnings, with a minimum of $1 million, and an unlimited cap. So the more $ he makes from his show, the more $ goes to the USO.

Sure, it's an easy way to try to get people to watch "Anger Management" on FX and keep his show on the air and alive, but, hey, it's for the troops. Charlie Sheen has PLENTY of money too so it's pretty legit to believe he'd make a huge dontation like this.

The minimum of $1 million would be the single biggest donation the USO has ever received from a single person, pretty impressive from someone who seemed like they were so out of their minds they were going to die any day about a year ago.

Charlie said: "It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us. They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on 'Anger Management' can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”
