American Idol premieres next Wednesday Jan 16th and the media tour has started

The entire judges panel was at the big TCA Panel. Which is some hollywood crap where they parade all of the shows out in front of the media.

Mariah was asked about the fued she said - “Sometimes things get heated for their own reasons. I don't think the panel has an issue.”

Nicki then refused to answer questions about it. But when she was asked if she thinks that her image is too outrageous she said "I could think of at least one other person that shows more cleavage and skin than me."

A reporter then asked Mariah and Nicki to basically say something that they admire about one another....good question....here's the responses...

"I say nice things about Mariah all the time. I tell Mariah all the time how much of a fan I am of her. She's one of my favorite artists of all time ... She's shaped a generation of singers. It's kind of crazy to be on a panel with her ... I feel excited to see [the contestants] see someone they look up to so much ... [and] hear her critique," said Nicki

"And that was obviously a very sweet thing to say. Nicki and I worked together very early on in her career and did a song from an album I'd done called 'Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,' called 'Up Out My Face,' ironically ... it was one of my favorite videos and songs and I did feel that she was going to go very far, and still have that feeling and am grateful for anything nice that she and anyone else have to say about me," said Mariah

Mariah then did a one on one interview with Entertainment Tonight where she talked about having to get extra security

Is the beef real...probably not

But it should make the auditions pretty interesting
